Covid Safe Ticket

Of course, we would like you to be able to participate safely and smoothly. That’s why we are organising the Port of Antwerp Night Marathon in accordance with the current Covid regulations, making use of the so-called Covid Safe Ticket, which is mandatory for events with more than 1500 people. That means you will no longer need to wear a mask or keep a 1,5 metre distance.

Which conditions do you have to meet?

You will have to meet one of the following conditions:

CovidSafe 02

Where can I find my Covid Safe Ticket?

Your Covid Safe Ticket is the same as your Digital Covid Certificate: a valid QR code in the CovidSafeBE app (for those living in Belgium, if you come from another European country it is a valid QR code in your local CoronaCheck app). You might already have a QR code and app from a trip abroad. You could potentially also show your certificate of recovery or proof of a negative test result using that code and app. Please note: your ID will be checked at the same time as your QR code, so make sure that you are also carrying your ID card.

How will it work?

Bib numbers will not be sent out. All participants need to collect their bib numbers and T-shirts individually and personally on site on Friday or Saturday. This also applies to those participating in the Relay Marathon or participants who registered as part of a group (e.g. businesses).

At the entrance of the pick-up point (Waagnatie) your Covid Safe Ticket will be scanned and your ID card will be checked:

Are you Covid Safe? Then you will get a green wristband and you can then collect your bib number (and T-shirt). The wristband gives you access to the starting area and you will have to keep it on throughout your run until you leave the finish area.

IMPORTANT: You will have to install the CovidSafeBE app or another “European Digital Covid Certificate” on your smartphone BEFOREHAND. Printed screenshots are not permitted. Without a valid digital QR code and your ID we cannot check your Covid status and you will therefore not be able to collect your bib number nor participate. Also make sure to bring your ID card.

You can download the CovidSafeBE app for free from the App Store (iOS) or from the Google Play Store (Android).

Where and when do I go to have the Covid Safe check and to collect the bib number?

We would recommend that you avoid the peak hours on Saturday between 16h and 18h30 at all costs.
Location: Waagnatie, Rijnkaai 150, 2000 Antwerp (at 800m from the start).
Please note: T-shirts cannot be collected afterwards.

How will I gain access to the starting area?

You will only be allowed into the starting area after showing the green wristband and bib number. If you do not have a green wristband, you will not be allowed into the starting area.

Always keep wearing your green wristband!

And what about our supporters?

Supporters do not have to undergo the Covid Safe check. They will have to wear face masks in certain zones, such as the start and finish, and they will have to maintain a distance of at least 1.5m from each other.

Supporters are not permitted in the registration area at the Waagnatie.
