Our measures comply with the current guidelines issued by the various authorities, and sectoral agreements, and have been set in close consultation with a panel of health experts and virologists. These FAQ contain a detailed description of many of these measures. </p> </div></div> </div> </div> <div class="info-item"> <hr/> <h3>What is expected of you as a participant? <i class="fa fa-plus pull-right"></i></h3> <div class="info-body" style="display:none;"> <div class = "row"> <div class="col-md-12"> <p>We expect of the participants that you strictly comply with the organisation's applicable health and safety measures; these measures can at any time be amended to meet the current guidelines. Abide by the arrangements made and communicated beforehand regarding arrival and flows at the event, on website, social media as well as via personal mailings.</p><p> Arrive no earlier than 15min before your starting time and do not bunch up at the start. Leave the event site after your performance and do not hang around needlessly.</p><p> Moreover, enough space will be provided at the entire event site, including in the starting zone, and we would like to appeal to you as participants to take your accountability and keep your distance (at least 1.5 m), use antibacterial gel, not to spit, wash your hands regularly and follow the instructions of our staff at all times. </p> </div></div> </div> </div> <div class="info-item"> <hr/> <h3>What are the organisation's recommendations to the participants? <i class="fa fa-plus pull-right"></i></h3> <div class="info-body" style="display:none;"> <div class = "row"> <div class="col-md-12"> <p>Stay at home if you are showing symptoms that may be caused by COVID-19, such as feeling feverish, fever, coughing, shortness of breath, runny nose or unusual fatigue, including when one of your housemates is showing these symptoms.<br> We would like to point out that it is important to prepare physically for the event. You can find more information on </p> </div></div> </div> </div> <div class="info-item"> <hr/> <h3>Is there a limit to the number of participants?<i class="fa fa-plus pull-right"></i></h3> <div class="info-body" style="display:none;"> #include virtual="deelnemerslimiet/index.stm" </div> </div> <div class="info-item"> <hr/> <h3>Why is the relay marathon cancelled and what will happen with my registration?<i class="fa fa-plus pull-right"></i></h3> <div class="info-body" style="display:none;"> <div class = "row"> <div class="col-md-12"> <p>We want this event to take place in a safe manner by making the necessary adjustments and by constantly responding to current events. The measures relating to social distancing obviously play a decisive role in this. We want to avoid physical contact and groups of people gathering in a limited space as much as possible. It is difficult to reconcile a relay marathon with these basic principles. Therefore, we feel it is necessary to postpone it for one year. </p><p> Teams that had signed up for the edition on 12th September 2020 will be able to carry over their registration for the 2021 edition. They do not have to do anything else themselves. The registration will be transferred automatically. Registration will be closed 48 hours before the event (or earlier if the maximum number of participants is reached). </p> </div></div> </div> </div> <div class="info-item"> <hr/> <h3>What will be the procedure at the starting line?<i class="fa fa-plus pull-right"></i></h3> <div class="info-body" style="display:none;"> <div class = "row"> <div class="col-md-12"> <p>Participants will start on the basis of their predicted finish time indicated upon registering. <br> Fast runners will start first. You will also be allocated a starting zone based on the predicted finish time you provided. There will always be sufficient space in the different starting zones to guarantee the applicable safe distance from your fellow participants. You will be allowed into those starting zones based on your running number. It will not be possible to switch starting zones. </p> </div></div> </div> </div> <div class="info-item"> <hr/> <h3>What happens if I sign up now or have already signed up but the event does not go ahead after all?<i class="fa fa-plus pull-right"></i></h3> <div class="info-body" style="display:none;"> <div class = "row"> <div class="col-md-12"> <p>In that case, your registration will automatically apply for the Port of Antwerp Night Marathon of 2021. You will not have to do anything else yourself. The transfer will be automatic. </p> </div></div> </div> </div> <div class="info-item"> <hr/> <h3>Am I permitted to bring my own provisions to the course? <i class="fa fa-plus pull-right"></i></h3> <div class="info-body" style="display:none;"> <div class = "row"> <div class="col-md-12"> <p>The organisation will offer supplies along the route in a safe way: closed bottles (water and sports drinks). However, the participants are welcome to bring their own provisions (like food) to the course. This is what we recommend under these circumstances. </p> </div></div> </div> </div> <div class="info-item"> <hr/> <h3>Should I wear a mouth mask at the start?<i class="fa fa-plus pull-right"></i></h3> <div class="info-body" style="display:none;"> <div class = "row"> <div class="col-md-12"> <p>We strongly advise the use of mouth masks before and after the race. It is not compulsory to wear a mouth mask during the actual race. </p> </div></div> </div> </div> <div class="info-item"> <hr/> <h3>Will there be changing rooms and showers?<i class="fa fa-plus pull-right"></i></h3> <div class="info-body" style="display:none;"> <div class = "row"> <div class="col-md-12"> <p>For this edition, there will be no changing rooms / showers available due to the exceptional circumstances. </p> </div></div> </div> </div> <div class="info-item"> <hr/> <h3>Are supporters allowed? <i class="fa fa-plus pull-right"></i></h3> <div class="info-body" style="display:none;"> <div class = "row"> <div class="col-md-12"> <p>That will depend on the measures that will apply at the time. However, we would already advise against bringing extra supporters to the start and finish zones, but maybe ask them to find a suitable location along the route. The same applies there: please respect a personal distance of 1.5m. Supporters on bikes are not allowed at all. </p> </div></div> </div> </div>
